The Bachelor in Hotel and Restaurant Management (HR) at ESETH is a qualification registered with the RNCP at Level 6. Over three years, it trains operational and strategic professionals capable of managing and optimising all activities of an establishment (hotel, restaurant, tourist residence, etc.).
This programme is perfectly suited to the needs of professionals in accommodation structures, who are seeking creative, passionate, curious and motivated collaborators.
The ESETH Bachelor in HR enables you to become highly operational from your first professional experience or to continue your studies in a Bac+4/5 cycle. Courses, conferences, masterclasses and business games are delivered by professionals who are experts in their respective fields.

This Bachelor’s degree is professionally oriented and therefore leads directly to employment. You also have the opportunity to enrol in the first year of a Master’s degree programme.

Programme objectives
The Bachelor in Hotel and Restaurant Management (HR) at ESETH is a state-recognised qualification at Level 6 that aims to achieve the following objectives:
Acquire an in-depth understanding of quality standards and procedures for each department
Develop the ability to implement evaluation and continuous improvement systems to ensure an exceptional customer experience and manage e-reputation
Master hygiene and food safety standards, as well as legislation specific to public-facing establishments
Master techniques for optimising pricing and availability of rooms or tables according to demand to maximise revenue
Develop leadership skills to recruit, train, motivate and manage teams, often multicultural and seasonal
Understand employment contracts specific to the sector to ensure legal compliance and employee well-being
Define the establishment’s positioning, target key markets (business, leisure, groups) and design attractive pricing offers
Know how to promote the establishment locally and internationally and manage relationships with the press and partners
Prerequisites
ENTRY LEVEL(S)
Baccalaureate and Bac+2
Prerequisites: The Bachelor in Hotel and Restaurant Management at ESETH is open to holders of a baccalaureate qualification and, for entry into the third year, to holders of a BTS or any other Level 5 qualification.
Admission is based on the review of the application file and may include an interview.
Duration
DURATION OF STUDIES:
- 3 years for students holding a Baccalaureate or an equivalent qualification
- Work-study programme available from the third year onwards
Admission Procedures and Deadlines
Access deadlines
- Applications for the September 2025 intake are open from 1 March to 20 September 2025.
- Applications for the deferred January 2026 intake remain open until 18 December.
Modalities
Access to our programmes may be initiated:
- By the employer,
- At the employee’s initiative, with their employer’s agreement,
- By a student or their legal guardian
- Work-study is available from the third year onwards
Upon completion of the application form, our institution undertakes to respond within 72 hours.
If the programme requires specific prerequisites, we will propose, regardless of the funding method you are considering, a knowledge assessment and/or a positioning interview (by telephone or videoconference) and/or a review of your application file.

Assessment Methods: Case studies and/or tests and/or essays and/or text analyses and/or multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and/or oral assessments and/or research projects / Continuous assessment / Work-study and competency evaluation (written + oral) / Thesis defence / Professional evaluation in the company

Funding
- The work-study contract: the company covers the tuition fees on behalf of the student.
- The Individual Training Leave (CIF).
- Individual Training Support (AIF), if you are a job seeker.
- Personal funding through a student job or a bank loan.
- You have the option to pay your tuition fees in several instalments.
